My Daily Devotional

What a Day That Will Be

“And you will see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the Mighty One, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”
Mark:14:62

Have you ever looked forward to some special day so much such as your birthday, Christmas, your anniversary, your vacation or other important days with so much anticipation that you actually count the days and hours until it comes. My very favorite song is “What a Day That Will Be”. The words of this beautiful song tells us what a wonderful day that will be, when our life here on earth will end, and we will not have to endure any more heartache, struggles or trials. There will not be any more sickness, no pain, no more problems, no more burdens, no more mountains to climb, no more tears will fall from our eyes, and no more worry. When this day comes, I will get to meet Jesus face to face, on His happy golden shores, where there will be no more night, and no more storm clouds to dim my eyes. When I asked Jesus into my heart, He made this day possible for me, as He forgave me of all my sin, and saved me by His grace. On this day I will get to meet Jesus in person, face to face, and He is going to take my hand, and lead me to His Promised Land. What a day, glorious day that will be. There is going to come a time when we all are going to stand before God, and be judged. Today, I want you to think whether you are ready for this day to come. You are not promised tomorrow, so it is so important that you be prepared for your day of judgment. I know that I am excited, and anxiously waiting for my day to come, where I will get to meet Jesus face to face. You also can be excited about meeting Him, by simply asking Him to come into your heart today, and to forgive you of your sin, and committing your life to Him. It is as simple as that to be assured, that when your day comes, that Jesus will also be waiting to take your hand, and lead you to your Promised Land, a land that will be filled with God’s blessings.
