My Daily Devotional

A New Day

“Man is like a breath,
His days are like a fleeting shadow.”
Psalm 144:4

God does not promise you tomorrow, therefore you must live your life as if this is the last day you will have on this earth. Your goal for today should be one of making the most of your time and to be happy. If this is your last day you certainly do not want to use it to be unhappy with yourself and others around you. You need to prepare yourself to make this a happy day and one that you will enjoy to its fullest. In Psalm 90:14 the Bible says “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” You must have a positive attitude about yourself and be a positive influence on your fellow man. Being happy, contented and joy filled is a blessing that will change your life and will make you a new person. This is what God wants in your life as it is only then will you be able to be a true witness for him and show his love to others. It is only then that your light will shine out for others, and fulfill his goal in your life. You are not promised that there will be a tomorrow and the best use of your time today should be your main focus. Make it a point to not let anyone or anything rob you of your happiness in the hours ahead, and not let the obstacles you will face today take away your joy. Make this a day where you will be happy, and let God’s love shine through you wherever you go and with everyone you meet. Make this the best day of your life, and be a blessing to all.
