My Daily Devotional

This Is Your Day

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”
Psalm 90:14

Today I want to encourage each of you to thank your Heavenly Father, for the blessed day that He has given you, because every day is a good day just because God is in it. Today can be a good day for you to rededicate your life to God and to keep your eyes focused on Him. Throughout our journey in life we will have good days, and of course bad days, days when we will be happy, and days when things will not go well. In my journey through life I have found, when I wake up each morning, I can make my day a happy one, or I can choose to be sad, miserable and unhappy. This is my choice and mine alone. If I wake up smiling and happy I can also make others smile and happy, as my attitude and disposition can rub off on others. However if I wake up with a frown on my face, and grumbling about everything, I can affect others I come into contact with, and make their day miserable as well as mine. Our day can be exactly how we make it. So today I encourage you to wake up happy, keep good thoughts in your head, and even if things aren’t going well, keep smiling. Your smile through pain or heartache can be an inspiration to someone who needs your smile. Always remember to pray for one another. We don’t go through anything that someone else hasn’t gone through, themselves. Always try to be that smile, or that shoulder for them to lean on, or to cry on. Be that compassionate heart that God gave to you, and I. Today let your life be a reflection of God’s love flowing through you, so that others can see. When we focus on others, instead of ourselves its funny how our own worries are swept out the door. Father we thank you for watching over us and our families and friends. Help us to desire to be more like you each day. Let us be an inspiration to others, and make this day a blessed day as we worship you.
