My Daily Devotional

Yield To God

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6

Do you often find yourself struggling with issues, and do not know the right decision to make, or have a great deal of uncertainty in your mind as to how to deal with them? I am confident that many of you find yourself in this very situation today, as you read this devotional. If you find yourself in this situation, I would encourage you to simply think about the word “Yield”. As the scripture above states, we need to trust in the Lord, and lean not on our own understanding, and then Yield ourselves and our issues over to God. If you “Yield” and turn everything over to God, it opens your life to the presence, and reality that God is there for you. When you have struggles and uncertainty in your life, just take a moment, close your eyes, extend your hands to God, and Yield your life to the Lord, who loves you. Ask Him to give you wisdom and understanding, as to how to deal with your problems, and to make the right choices and decisions. God will hear you, as He hears all our prayers, and will give you peace in making whatever decision you need to make. Ask Him to open or close any door, and to lead you to where He wants you to be. When you make your decisions, and Yield to God’s will in your life, He will make your paths straight. He will lead you to the place where He wants you to be, but you have to Yield yourself, and place your trust and faith in Him, God will not disappoint you, if you yield your problems and issues over to Him, as He will make your paths straight.
