God Feels Your Pain

“In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them.”
Isaiah 63:9

Do you realize that when you are in pain, that God also is in pain, because He loves you so much. You may be going through some rough times right now. Maybe your company is reducing jobs and salaries, trying to keep from going bankrupt. Maybe one of the jobs they are eliminating is yours. Maybe your marriage has really turned sour at this time. You can’t say you haven’t contributed to the problems, but you’re trying as hard as you can now to make this right. Still, you’re not sure where things are headed. Work. Family. Health. Finances. Between these major categories, life can get very complicated, both from things you’ve done as well as things that just happened. And if God feels very far away today, unconcerned and out of the picture, hear a word of encouragement from hundreds of years ago. Throughout the Old Testament, God’s people faced one crisis after another. Sometimes it was their own fault. Sometimes it came by way of a surprise attack. But no matter how they got into their troubles, “in all their distress, he too was distressed”, as stated in the scripture above. When they hurt, God hurt. When they suffered, God suffered. God has not lost the directions to your house. He’s not waiting to work you in between 3:00 and 4:00 next Wednesday. God feels. He grieves. He knows what you’re going through. You’re not the only one hurting here, and God is willing to help you today. Pray this prayer: Lord, thank you that you haven’t forgotten me. It’s good to know you’re a God who’s really alive, who’s really here, and who genuinely cares. I’m counting on that now, today. If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and are reading this message today, take just a moment to ask Jesus to come into your heart, forgive you from all your past sins, and to tell Him that you want Him to be your Savior, and give you the greatest gift you will ever receive, the promise of an eternal life. God will then be there to help you handle any of life’s problems, as He will give you His peace and His comfort in all the storms of life. God will deliver you from carrying all the burdens yourself, as He will be there to help you carry them. You are not promised tomorrow, so take just a moment right now to ask Jesus into your heart before it is too late.
